
Job Summary
The Director of Resources and Operations provides strategic leadership and administrative oversight for college-wide budget, personnel, and operational functions. Reporting to the Dean, this role operates with a high level of autonomy to manage financial planning, facilities, and human resources while ensuring alignment with university policies and goals. The position collaborates with academic and administrative leaders to optimize resource utilization and drive operational effectiveness. This role has significant impact on advancing the college’s strategic priorities and overall organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage college-wide budget planning, fiscal analysis, and financial compliance
- Oversee personnel administration, including recruitment, performance management, and employee relations
- Direct day-to-day operational functions, including facilities, space planning, and capital projects
- Advise leadership on resource allocation, policy implementation, and operational efficiency
- Develop and implement financial and administrative policies aligned with strategic goals
- Supervise and develop administrative staff and promote a culture of collaboration and accountability
- Monitor and approve financial transactions, forecasts, and reporting activities
- Coordinate with campus partners on facilities management, safety, and infrastructure projects
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational effectiveness
- Represent the college in campus-wide committees and administrative initiatives

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, higher education administration, finance, or a related field
- Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible experience in administrative, financial, or operational management
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, including fiscal analysis, forecasting, and fund management
- Experience in personnel administration, including recruitment, performance management, and employee relations
- Supervisory experience overseeing professional staff and administrative operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in business administration (MBA), public administration (MPA), higher education, or a related field
- Five (5) or more years of senior leadership experience (director level or above) within a higher education institution
- Five (5) or more years of experience managing a complex, high-revenue organization with an annual operating budget exceeding $20M
- Experience overseeing facilities operations, space planning and capital projectsInput preferred qualifications
Compensation
Classification: Administrator II
Anticipated Hiring Range: $10,000/month - $12,800/month
CSU Salary Range: $5,053/month - $16,221/month
The final hiring salary will be commensurate with experience.
