    • Two temporary hourly-intermittent Bridge Student Assistant positions available in Housing and Residential Life.

    • Start Date
    • Positions available on or after May 27, 2025 and ending on or before August 29, 2025. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

    • Job Description/Duties
    • Under the general supervision of the Lead Custodian, a Custodial Student Assistant work with the custodial and grounds professional staff or independently on the weekend. The Custodial and Grounds position receive extensive training in safety measures that are relevant to the job duties and must demonstrate the knowledge of these trainings to work effectively in a safe manner.

      Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Assist department staff with deep cleaning to prepare units for move-in and summer conference programs.
      • Deep clean kitchen and appliances.
      • Vacuum, dust, clean surfaces and other general housekeeping.
      • Clean and maintain windows, screens and doorways. Assist with carpet and upholstery cleaning, and stripping and waxing vinyl flooring.
      • Assist department staff with routine grounds maintenance and landscaping such as sweeping, blowing, and pressure washing walkways.
      • Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of common areas in the community such as laundry rooms, bathrooms, hubs, conference rooms, game room and tv lounge.
      • Collect trash and recyclables on a routine basis.
      • Organize supply closets.
      • Assist with various housing events and conferencing such as move-in, move-out or other events that need additional support.
      • Other duties as assigned.

       

    • Qualifications
    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • Must be available to work Monday-Sunday between the hours of 6:00a.m.-2:30p.m. Adhere to established work hours.
      • Multiple occasions of unexcused tardiness and/or absence will result in position termination.

      Required Qualifications:
      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
      • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
    • Salary Range
    • $16.50 per hour.
