Faculty Lecturer Job Ad- Hospitality and Tourism Management.

The Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management at San Francisco State University invites applications for part-time lecturer positions (non-tenure track) in hospitality and tourism for the Fall 2022 semester / Spring 2023 semester.

The position would reside in the College of Business as part of the Department of Hospitality & Tourism Management at San Francisco State University. SF State is a member of the California State University system and serves a diverse student body of 30,000 undergraduate and graduate students. The University seeks to promote appreciation of scholarship, freedom, and human diversity through excellence in instruction and intellectual accomplishment.

The Hospitality & Tourism Management program enrolls 200 students annually. The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality & Tourism Management offers emphasis areas in hotel operations management; restaurant and catering management; conventions, meeting and event management; and international tourism management. The program is located in the AACSB-accredited College of Business.

Responsibilities: The position requires undergraduate teaching in hospitality & tourism management subject areas that include human resource management, practical food production and service, convention, and events management. Applicants are expected to hold a masters’ degree in a relevant discipline. Industry experience in the hospitality and tourism industries would be preferred.

Classes for the fall term begin in August and the exam period ends on May 2023
